Pool Filter Cartridges came about shortly after a move to Florida. My wife and I bought our first house with a pool. We had pools in Illinois; however, we called them Ice Skating Rinks due to the short season.
With the pool came our first pool service man that we only saw at the end of the month when it was time to pay. So I took over the duties myself and started to learn what was involved in pool maintenance. What started out with my pool and a neighbors quickly boomed into DAD’s Pool Service; servicing 117 weekly pools and all the repairs that came with them, and continued to grow from there.
We quickly learned what products worked in the pool, and what just worked for the salesman. We offered filter cartridges to our route customers which then lead to other pool related products by major manufactures such as Hayward, Pentair, Sta-Rite, Unicel and others, trying to offer products that we knew about and can trust and thought that if it worked for us, it should also work for our customers.
